VAMAT joins Esprinet Group to accelerate growth in Benelux and Ireland
After a period of strong growth and achieving a decisive market position, VAMAT and Esprinet see major opportunities ahead; Huawei VAP status remains central. Agreement signed, transfer scheduled for early October 2025.
Utrecht, 17 September 2025 — VAMAT, value-added partner and service partner for Huawei’s sustainable energy and technology solutions in the Benelux and Ireland, today announces the signing of the acquisition by Italian Esprinet Group. The transfer of the organisation is scheduled for early October 2025.
This step follows a period of rapid expansion: VAMAT achieved 55% CAGR (compound annual growth), which attracted Esprinet’s attention. Both parties see continued strong market potential for high-quality, service-driven distribution and integrated technology solutions supporting the energy transition. By joining forces, VAMAT and Esprinet will accelerate the rollout of portfolio, services, and local support in the Benelux and Ireland.
VAMAT is a Huawei Value Added Partner (VAP) — one of a limited number of companies holding this status — and will continue to build on this position. Huawei has responded positively to the planned acquisition and supports the joint growth plans.
The current shareholder of VAMAT is Illustranos B.V., a Dutch group of companies active in the European sustainable energy market.
Leadership and continuity
Sander Binnema, currently General Manager of VAMAT, will remain in place and take on the role of CEO to shape the organisation’s next growth phase. VAMAT will continue to operate as an independent entity within the Esprinet Group. Day-to-day operations, the partner network and the service organisation will remain fully focused on quality and continuity for customers and suppliers.
